Nine teachers in the anglophone sector received Teaching Excellence Awards during a ceremony held in Fredericton on Nov. 19. Every year, one recipient from each district is presented with an award for their contributions to educating New Brunswick youth.

"This initiative is one small way of acknowledging and celebrating excellence in teaching," said Education and Early Childhood Development Minister Jody Carr. "These nine individuals rose to the top of the nominations for their exceptional teaching and leadership practices, demonstrating once again that New Brunswick has some of the best teachers in the world."

These awards recognize and honour dynamic educators who have displayed outstanding skills in supporting the needs of diverse learners at the school, district and/or provincial level.
