In New Brunswick, there are lots of children who need families.
There are more than 600 children in the care of the Department of Social Development in New Brunswick who need a permanent home. They're waiting for a family to call their own - a special adult who cares for their future.

Most are between 3 and 12 years old but some are younger . . . or older.
New Brunswick's waiting children can be any age, up to 18 years old. They are all anxious to find a place where they belong . . . a place where they are loved and feel secure, a place for family holidays and get-togethers in the years to come.

There are brothers and sisters who would like to stay together.
Many of New Brunswick's waiting children come with family ties — they're part of a sibling group. Every effort is made to place brothers and sisters, and half-brothers and half-sisters, in the same adoptive home.

And some have special placement needs.
Some children require families who share their cultural background, or who have skills in meeting particular medical needs or behavioural challenges they may have. Some were exposed to drugs or alcohol in utero and need special attention to help them fulfil their full potential.
