When you contact us concerning an adoption that took place in New Brunswick, please provide the following information:

If you are an adoptee or adoptive parent:

  • Your current name, address and telephone number
  • The adoptee's full name
  • The adoptee's place and date of birth
  • The names of the adoptive parents
  • The place of residence of the adoptive parents at the time of the adoption
  • The approximate year of the adoption

If you are a birth parent or birth sibling:

  • Your current name, address and telephone number
  • The child's birth name
  • The child's place and date of birth
  • The names of the birth parent(s)
  • The region of the province where the adoption took place
  • The approximate year of the adoption
