An accessible transit system serving persons with mobility impairments, special needs and seniors unable to utilize regular public transit system. Covers greater Saint John area. Handi-Bus is a non-profit operation and is subsidized by the Saint John Transit Commission. Service operates Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7:00 am to 6:30 pm, Tuesdays & Thursdays from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm, and Saturdays from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm, with extended hours upon request for special events. Additional service available to contract rates. Reservations requested 48 hours in advance if possible.

Priority given to passengers in wheelchairs and for employment, educational purposes, medical appointments and day programs.

Individual one way cash trips within city limits - $5.00
Monthly passes available - $75.00 for 20 trips and $40.00 for ten trips.
Office hours from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm Monday - Thursday.
Friday hours from 7:30 am - 12:00 pm. Leave message on Saturday and Sunday.
After hours leave message for next day response.
Services available in English.

Harvey Outreach for Seniors provides in home support to seniors, disabled adults and special needs children and children under protection; attendant care workers; home support workers; homemakers and sitters; meals on wheels, foot care clinic; Lifeline program; out-patient whirlpool bath program; special equipment loan program; and general information on senior and disabled programs.

The Mission of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick is to improve the health of New Brunswickers by preventing and reducing disability and death from heart disease and stroke through research, health promotion and advocacy.

The Foundation works towards its mission through research and education programs. There are many heart health promotion programs available from the Foundation as well as up-to-date literature about heart disease and stroke. CPR training, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Workplace Wellness, Heart Smart Nutrition Counseling and Jump Rope for Heart are just a few of the programs available. Funds are raised for the work of the Foundation through an annual door-to-door campaign in February, memoriam program and various special events.

Hope Air is a national, charitable organization that provides air transportation to Canadians in financial need who must travel between their own communities and recognized facilities for medical care. Hope Air arranges flights for clients of all ages and illness groups using donated seats on commercial and private aircraft. Services available in English and French. Howard Henderson House, Inc. is a community residence for nine adults who have varying degrees of needs and who are labelled as mentally and physically challenged. It provides support, life skills training and some job exposure training, as well as 24-hour supervision. Services available in English.

The Human Development Council identifies and addresses social issues in greater Saint John through research, information, co-ordination and networking. Through agency cooperation and community development, the Council involves citizens, agencies, government, and the private sector in addressing social issues and concerns.
