A not-for-profit volunteer organization which offers information, support, referrals, a toll-free number, a newsletter Reflexions to children and adults with Learning Disabilities as well as their families and the professionals who work with them. Training sessions such as Screening for Success and Early Childhood workshops are offered on request along with a Speakers Bureau . They offer a specialized literacy intervention program: LINKS – Linking Language to Learning in the select areas for English language children at-risk for reading/writing disabilities.

CARA is a bilingual telephone listening
service, a referral service and a suicide prevention service in
the Greater Moncton area. They are there for anyone who needs a
friend who will listen and can be trusted, without judging or
preaching. Just caring! The help-line offers immediacy, anonymity
and confidentiality. Their hours are from 4 pm - 8 am seven days
a week.

The Lions Sick Children's Fund Inc. is a fully
volunteer charitable organization which financially helps families
with seriously ill children. The financial assistance available is
for travel, accommodations or meals while the child is away from home
for tests, treatments or hospitalization. In some cases financial
assistance is also available for medication and/or medical equipment.
Assistance is available to families in Region 1, which includes
Westmorland, Albert and Kent Counties. Application for assistance is
available by contacting the Fund. Eligibility for assistance is
available for children up to 19 years of age. Referal from a social
worker, cleric or doctor is required.

to offer support to lupus patients and their family, as well as
education and public awareness of this chronic inflammatory
