Provides services to the Kent County population.  Its mission is to ensure social and community services for adults and seniors with special needs, allowing them to live in dignity, to grow as human beings and to participate in the life of their community.  A society where individuals are respected and valued for everything that defines them and where their well-being can benefit from essential services is Le Phare’s vision.

This organization is a member of the NB Home Support Association, the NB Association of Residential Agencies Inc. and the network of NB activity centres.

The services offered include:

Community Residences
Le Phare’s community residences assist adults with special needs in starting a new chapter in their lives by offering accommodation with personalized care, while continuing to live in a family environment. Dedicated services for adults with special needs, level 3 and 4.

Specialized Care Residence (Myosotis)
Maximum of 7 residents allowing personal quality care that is adapted to each person’s needs. The residence is located on a magnificent lot landscaped with flowers and bird feeders. Warm and homelike atmosphere in a safe and peaceful environment.

Home Support Program
Our support program is available to people of all ages who are experiencing health problems and difficulty taking care of themselves or their daily chores. Available home support services include: personal care, meal preparation, respite services, housekeeping and personal chores. Le Phare provides certified staff to help you live in your home as long as possible.

Alternative & Respite Family Program
Alternative families offer long-term support in their homes by sharing their family life and activities. In addition to receiving the care they need, clients who benefit from these accommodations participate in the daily lives of families: they share meals, chores, leisure activities, etc. This program is a means to support and motivate the clients, to teach them how to personally improve their skills and to help them exercise their decision-making rights in their personal lives.

Respite services are provided to the natural or alternative families by accommodating the client at least one weekend per month, for a two-day period. The program is available for adults 19 years and older. In addition to providing a break for families, this service allows the clients to experience new activities, meet new people and create new friendships.

Activity Centre (socialization and education)
The centre offers learning activities and socialization for adults with special needs who have completed their school years, allowing them to enhance their independence and quality of life. These activities take on an individualized approach, taking into account the characteristics and needs of the person. Activities at the centre include literacy classes, computer workshops, educational, recreational and social outings, and many more.
