Human Resources Study Released
- February 2, 2004
Health and Wellness Minister Elvy Robichaud released a study to determine
New Brunswick’s current and future supply and demand for major health
related occupations.
The department has already taken steps to address this issue. For instance,
it has created a Health Human Resources Unit comprised of advisors who
work with professional associations, post-secondary institutions, RHAs
and health care providers to develop and implement strategies for recruiting
and retaining health professionals. The results of this study will inform
development of these strategies and planning to meet New Brunswick’s
future requirements for health care professionals.
