Black bear non-resident licence draw

Over 3 000 licences are available by computer draw. Each hunter may enter once per year. Your licence is valid during all three seasons. Females accompanied by a cub are protected during spring season.

You can get a licence:

•  From your outfitter or guide.

Or:

•  Apply to the draw (application period is now closed).

Enter your draw number.

Purchase your licence.     

Buying licences for a group?  You will need:

  • Full names
  • Addresses
  • Dates of birth
  • Telephone numbers
You will receive a validation sticker in the mail.
 
Pay for your licence:     by March 26, 2010

You must pay for your licence by the end of March.

Remember:

All licences not purchased by March 26 will be available to other non-resident hunters on our waiting list. This list is randomly generated at the time of the draw. If you are on the waiting list, you will be informed when you call the results line.

Once we have your fee, you will receive (by mail):

  • Validation sticker.

When you arrive in New Brunswick:

 
Unclaimed licences:     Available April 12, 2010

Available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

    (8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Atlantic Standard Time)

You must pay for your licence(s) when you call. 

You will need:

  •   Each hunter's name
  •   Mailing address
  •   Date of birth
  •   Telephone number

A licence validation sticker(s) will be mailed to the purchaser.

Allow at least three business days if requesting that licences be sent to a District office or Service New Brunswick.

 

Leaving Canada
Bear or bear parts leaving Canada may require a CITIES export permit.(Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species)  Contact one of our offices for more information.
