Route 2 Upgrading – Québec Border to Saint-Jacques

Please note that there is an update to the alignment planned for construction.

The proposed project would complete the remaining four kilometres of the four-lane Trans-Canada Highway between the Saint-Jacques area and Québec in Madawaska County. The new lanes will be west of the existing roadway and will be designed to meet present-day standards to improve safety.

The Department of Transportation has registered the project with the Department of Environment in accordance with Section 5(1) and Schedule "A" of the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulation.
