The Canada Gamesis held every two years alternating between summer and winter. The Sport and Recreation Branch plays the lead role in the coordination of Team New Brunswick. Mission staff volunteers are selected from across the province to assist with team management. Provincial Sport Organizations coordinate their individual team entries.

Team NB's Mission Staff is a voluntary support team that assists New Brunswick's top developmental athletes prepare for, and compete at the Canada Games. Mission members have a strong sport background, a broad knowledge of the sport delivery system, previous Games or sport management experience and the ability to work in a team environment.

Mission selection occurs through a public application process roughly eighteen months prior to every Games. Information on the call for volunteer mission for the 2011 Canada Winter Games will be posted next.
