Through the provision of programs and services, the Historic Places Section of the Heritage Branch strives to foster increased awareness and stewardship of New Brunswick's built Heritage resources. Built heritage resources can include buildings, other structures, landscapes and districts.

Historic Places Section administers provincial involvement in the recognition, commemoration and designation of historic places in New Brunswick.
