Budget 2007-2008 and Capital Estimates The 2007-2008 Budget was tabled in the New Brunswick Legislature by Victor Boudreau Minister of Finance on March 13, 2007. Click on the following links for more information: Budget Speech News release Fact Sheets The New Brunswick Economy Main Estimates 2007-2008 Pre-Budget Consultation Document Independent Review of the Province’s Financial Situation On October 3, 2006 the new government for the Province of New Brunswick was sworn in. The accounting firm Grant Thornton was engaged October 11, 2006 to independently conduct a review of the financial situation of the Province. The results of the review conclude that the provincial government will face significant fiscal challenges over the next three fiscal years, which will potentially lead to large, growing deficits.
