Georgette lives in Moncton, New Brunswick. She graduated from the Université de Moncton with a B.Ed. in elementary education, majoring in visual arts. From 1967 to 2000, she taught visual arts, French, and French immersion in New Brunswick. She is a very active artist and has participated in many exhibitions, for which she has created various series of paintings, the most recent one being L’esprit de Grand-Pré 2006-2007. Her works can be found in France, Africa, the United States, and all parts of Canada. Claire Chevarie
Pastellist
July 24 to September 30, 2009

Born in Québec City, Claire grew up in New Brunswick and now spends her summers in Moncton and her winters in Florida. She has been painting since the age of 10. A passionate teacher, she taught art for 28 years and also gives workshops for adults in Canada and the United States. Her approach leads through a world of make-believe inspired by her childhood memories. The style of her works is casual and whimsical, featuring vivid colours on almost three-dimensional supports. Her pastels are full of light, movement, and rhythm, reflecting her own joie de vivre and Acadian pride. Seascapes and maritime landscapes inspire her to create joyful, inviting scenes. Claire has participated in many exhibitions in New Brunswick, Quebec, the United States, Portugal, and Tunisia. She is a member of several associations.

Conrad Légère
Painter
May 21 to July 21, 2010

A native of Caraquet, Conrad discovered painting in 2000 and was at first a self-taught artist. His medium is oil, painted on canvas and stone. He finds inspiration in photographs of local landscapes. He has been taking courses with professor Jean Patenaude since 2005. Early in his career, he had a solo exhibition at the Université de Moncton’s Shippagan Campus and took part in a group exhibition at the Marché Centreville in Tracadie-Sheila. He is a landscape artist whose colourful paintings sometimes give the impression of a naïve style, filled with precise, delicate lines.
