New Brunswick has 20 Daily and Live Release Crown Reserves that provide excellent fishing. These are available on a day-by-day basis. (A day is from 2 p.m. the first day until 2 p.m. the second day. Lower Patapedia, Palisade and Sinclair are for two consecutive calendar days.)
You will require a special licence. Once you apply, you cannot substitute party members. Licences are not transferable or refundable. Fly fishing only. (Live Release Reserves require barbless or pinched hooks.) |

| How do I apply? |
|
- Apply by phone seven days before the day you want to fish.
- Call the appropriate District office between 8:30 - 11 a.m.
- If the call-in date falls on a weekend, call the following Monday.
- If too many applications are received, a mini draw will be held.
Limit: two trips per month.
Your trip must be completed by month end.

| Unclaimed water |
|
|
A party of the proper size can claim this water up to 48 hours before the fishing date. After that time, any party size (not exceeding the limit) will be accepted. Applying for unclaimed water does not count against your two-day monthly allotment.

| Payment |
|
|
When notified, you must pay immediately by credit card, Interac, cash, cheque or money order (by phone or in person). There are no exceptions. When paying for your licence, you must provide the following for each member of your party:
- Name
- Address
- Date of birth
- Telephone number
- Identification

You must have two licences:
For salmon stretches
- A Daily Crown Reserve licence
- A Class 7, 8, 16 or 17 salmon angling licence
For trout stretches
- A Daily Crown Reserve licence
- A Class 9 or 10 angling licence
For live release stretches
- A Live Release Crown Reserve licence
- A Class 7, 8, 16 or 17 salmon angling licence (If fishing on the Cains, a Class 7, 8, 9, 10, 16 or 17 licence.)
- Palisade and Sinclair licences are for two consecutive calendar days.
Fees are ‘per angler per day’. Non-refundable.
