PLEASE NOTE
The only restriction based on age is the requirement of zero blood alcohol content for everyone under 21.
All the other restrictions are based on experience, not age. Whatever your age, you will be restricted only for the two years you will be in the graduated program. After you get your class 5, you are unrestricted!
All drivers younger than age 21
As of June 1st, 2009, all motorists under the age of 21 must maintain a zero percent blood/alcohol content when driving. This provision applies to all drivers under 21 and includes drivers of motorcycles, cars and commercial vehicles.
It applies to all drivers under 21, whether they are enrolled in the graduated driver's licence program or not.
Improvements to the Graduated Driver's Licence Program
As of June 1st, 2009 the Government of New Brunswick will implement new requirements to the graduated driver's licence program.

Those currently enrolled in Level 1 have until Oct. 1, 2009 to take their road test.
Those who do not complete such a course must wait for 12 months to do the test.
Level 2 licensees (after road test) and as of June 1st, 2009:
