New driving rules

As of June 1st, 2009, all motorists under the age of 21 must maintain a zero percent blood/alcohol content when driving. This provision applies to all drivers under 21 and includes drivers of motorcycles, cars and commercial vehicles. It applies to all drivers under 21, whether they are enrolled in the graduated driver’s licence program or not.

The amendments also include a series of improvements to the graduated driver's licence (GDL) program for new drivers. The new rules will apply to everyone who has not yet completed the GDL program. >> Learn more
