Days of Rest Act for the Province of New Brunswick

Fast Forward - Businesses and Activities Exempted from the ActThe Days of Rest Act identifies specific days during the year that businesses must be closed. These days include the weekly day of rest (Sunday) and ten prescribed days of rest; New Year's Day, Good Friday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, New Brunswick Day, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

Good Friday
the Friday before Easter Sunday. Easter Sunday is the first Sunday after the full moon after March 21st. If the full moon falls on a Sunday, Easter is the next Sunday.

the first Monday before May 25th

July 1st (If July 1st falls on Sunday, Monday July 2nd replaces July 1st as Canada Day)
