RSP Monitoring System

The RSP Monitoring System is a database of information which records the delivery of rehabilitation services in each health region as well as across the province. The RSP Monitoring System is designed to determine the extent to which the short-term goals of the Rehabilitation Services Plan (RSP) have been met as well as to identify opportunities to improve the delivery of rehabilitation services.

Each month, manual and automated data are submitted to the Department of Health and Wellness from both the hospital outpatient departments and the Extra-Mural Program Units across the province. An individual client tracking form was developed for data collection.

One year after implementation, a review of the RSP Monitoring System was conducted to improve the utility and acceptability of the monitoring system. The individual client tracking form was revised along with the data definitions. The revised RSP Monitoring System was implemented in May of 1999.
