Evaluation Tools

A variety of data collection tools are being developed during the evaluation of the Rehabilitation Services Plan. A short description of each tool developed to date is listed below:

Client Satisfaction Survey

This self administered survey is designed primarily to measure: 1- the extent to which clients are satisfied with the delivery of rehabilitation services and 2 - the extent to which rehabilitation services are client centered. The survey was administered to a random sample of clients discharged from outpatient hospital departments, the provincial home care program and the provincial tertiary centre.

Referral Source Survey

Part of the evaluation was designed to assess referral sources' understanding and satisfaction with the referral process for rehabilitation services in New Brunswick. A self- administered Referral Source Survey was developed to capture this information from physicians, public health nurses, nursing home administrators, teachers, support service coordinators, school social workers and school psychologists.
