Abstract: A trial to evaluate the effect of seeding date on seed production of perennial ryegrass was conducted in Killoween, NB (Victoria county) in 1997-98. Seed yield was higher when seeded earlier (August 21, 1997 compare to September 2, 1997) but without any significant difference. The major seed yield difference was between cultivar; Norlea the check cultivar yielded 849 kg/ha compare to 358 and 482 kg/ha for Barrage and Barball respectively for the early seeding date.
