Abstract: Thirteen potential chipping cultivars were evaluated at Hartland, NB for yields, quality and chip color from storage. Total yield ranged from 386 cwt/acre to 206 cwt/acre and marketable yields ranged from 354 cwt/acre to 193 cwt/acre. Specific gravities were very low at this trial site with the highest being obtained with Snowden. Early season chip color was best for Niska, Pike and Snowden. Many cultivars produced acceptable chip color from 51EF storage mid season and into late season.
