Abstract: The New Brunswick Soil and Crop Improvement Association with funding from the Strategic Partnership Development Program in co-operation with the New Brunswick Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Aquaculture conducted small grain cultivar evaluation trials in Hartland, New Brunswick in 2004. A barley extra trial, consisting of 10 lines, was established on the 10th day of May, 2004. Dry matter yield values ranged from 1.29 tons/acre to 1.66 tons/acre. Lowest and highest yielding lines were Legend and Queens, respectively.
