2009 Summer Tourism Marketing Campaign

For the 2009 season, Tourism and Parks has made some significant upgrades to the official website, including:

Vacation Planner arrow an innovative itinerary planning component where users can develop, manage, save and print a travel itinerary for their New Brunswick vacation;
arrow an interactive mapping tool using Google maps;
arrow a location services component that uses actual location data to provide the user with information such as ‘what is nearby’, or ‘what is in my region’ or ‘along my route’;
arrow new navigation on the site that categorizes information into the appropriate Scenic Drives; and
arrow new, expanded content.

Television

The television ads, which began airing in the regional market on April 6 as part of an overall marketing campaign including social media, online and print advertising, build on the New Brunswick Maritime Magnifique brand for the second year of a two-year program.

In addition to the advertisements used in 2008, two new ads were created this year focusing on outdoor activities and popular New Brunswick attractions. New advertisements promoting our warm waters were also developed for the Quebec market.
