Entry Requirements

To ensure consistency and fairness in judging, entrants are asked to adhere to these requirements.

1.
The submission must be presented in three parts:
  1. One Copy of the Cover Page
  2. One Copy of the Answers to Questions that appear on the Nomination Form for the Award Category you are entering (including Overview/History of your Business) and,
  3. Six copies of your Supporting Materials for each of the judges. Entrants may submit a maximum of three supporting materials.

All documents (The cover page, the overview/history of your business, the questions that appear on the nomination form plus your answers to each question) should be created as Microsoft Word Documents and must be formatted as follows:
  Page Size: A4 (8 ½ by 11)
  Font:

Type all of your answers in 12 point Times New Roman or Arial font. No variation such as narrow or condensed font styles is acceptable.
  Format:



All text must be 1.5 line spacing, with the following exceptions:
Text contained within a multi-column table may be single line spaced.
Question text and captions may be single line spaced.
All pages must be numbered.

  Margins: 2.0 Top and Bottom; 2.0 left margin; 1.5 right margin.
  Layout: State the question, then your answer. Use a new sheet for each question.
 

Pages:


Keep your answers within the specified page limits – 1 page per question up to a maximum of 25 pages. Exceeding the page limit will result in the section effected not being marked or your disqualification from the Tourism Awards process.

The cover page of the submission must be clearly marked with:
  • Name of the entrant
  • Title of the entrant
  • Company/Organization
  • Address
  • Telephone
  • Fax
  • E-mail

The overview/history of your business must be included. (It will be used by media, for announcements at the presentation ceremony, in promotional material and on Web site listings).

All questions must be answered under the headings provided . These headings are:
  • Overview/History of Your Business
  • Research/Planning
  • Execution
  • Results

Use a new page for each question. State the question and follow it with your answer. Answers must be a maximum of one page per question. Unanswered questions will attract zero points.

Supporting documentation must be relevant to specific questions and cross-referenced.

All documents and supporting material must be properly labeled and well packed for transport and sent to Rose Arsenault:

9. Entries must be received by March 24, 2010. Late entries will not be accepted.

OPTIONAL INCLUSIONS : Videos (VHS) or CD Roms are optional. If submitted, they should be no longer than 5 minutes. Please note: these will not be returned.

Tips:




  • Keep your answers brief. Write concisely and to the point.
  • Ensure the information you provide answers the questions asked in each section.
  • Use bullet points, graphs and tables where appropriate.
  • Ensure you substantiate the anecdotal comments with facts, data and comparative analysis.
