New Brunswick is at a critical point in its history. The province is experiencing the longest period of sustained population decline since the great depression. It is time for all New Brunswickers to act. New Brunswick must increase its population and labour force to reverse shrinking population trends.

The Population Growth Secretariat will aid in New Brunswick's demographic progress. One of its first tasks is to develop a Population Growth Strategy to help New Brunswick reach self-sufficiency by 2026.
