Preparations here in New Brunswick have begun for the 33rd NEG/ECP Conference scheduled for September 14-15, 2009 in Saint John, NB. We intend to build a program that will follow up on last year's lively exchanges, allow us to break new ground in topical areas, and to create an inviting conference atmosphere for both formal and informal interaction.
While the current economic conditions present a challenge, they also provide an opportunity to shore up our regional cooperation efforts in support of the economy. The region can be stronger if we work together to maximize the impact of our respective economic measures. Our constituents are looking to us to make wise decisions and to demonstrate leadership.
