FREDERICTON (CNB) - The following statement was issued today by Attorney General T.J. Burke:
On Thursday, May 21, the New Brunswick Court of Appeal handed down its decision in the Henry Morgentaler case.
The decision centred on a preliminary issue, namely the issue of standing, and not the merits of the case.
Given that the case is still before the court, I will not make any further comment. My officials
and I have received the decision, and we are reviewing it.
