WOODSTOCK (CNB) - Alcool NB Liquor today officially opened its newest store in Woodstock.
The 836-sq.-metre (9,000-sq.-ft.) store is located at 104 Gallop Street Extension, and is more than 50 per cent larger than the former location on Carleton Street. It features 1,404 products, including 621 wine and 488 spirits. A 241-sq.-metre (2,600-sq.-ft) walk-in cold room offers 106 chilled beer and 101 ready-to-drink products, which is an upgrade from the former pallet cooler.
The new store features Alcool NB Liquor's new decor, a Centre of Discovery kiosk for product tastings, and a new checkout design with refrigeration units at cash.
"Greater selection and a more convenient location are two of the many features of our newest store," said Dana Clendenning, Alcool NB Liquor president and CEO. "The construction of the store is a tribute to the corporation's vision to be a high-performance retailer, engaging employees in service excellence."
Alcool NB Liquor's retail strategy calls for locating corporate stores in highly visible locations across the province, including major routes, to intercept transient and tourist traffic.
