DALHOUSIE (CNB) - The new NB Liquor store in Dalhousie officially opened today. It is located at 375 Miller St. at the intersection of routes 11 and 275 (Darlington Drive).
The store showcases the new retail merchandising concept that creates interior destinations. This approach provides a customer-friendly shopping experience and better uses of retail floor space.
"We are extremely pleased to present the residents of Dalhousie with a new and modern liquor store," said Dana Clendenning, president and chief executive officer, NB Liquor. "The new layout is designed to improve the product display area, including the walk-in cold room."
The store covers 690 sq. m (7,425 sq. ft.) and features more than 1,000 products, including 438 brands of wine and 355 brands of spirits. The 140-sq.-m (1,510-sq.-ft.) walk-in cold room offers 139 brands of chilled beer and 73 brands of ready-to-drink beverages.
Other innovative changes include new low-maintenance flooring, product and local historical mood pictures, a 2.4-m (eight-ft.) My World of Beer main floor display, new racking in cold room and split-end aisle displays providing better display and shopping.
The store employs four full-time staff and four casuals. It is open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday to Saturday, and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
"The construction of this new liquor store near the soon-to-be-constructed community market is a sign of NB Liquor's commitment to the area and the residents of Dalhousie," said Clendenning. "The corporation is pleased to locate its latest store in this new development area."
