ST. STEPHEN (CNB) - The new NB Liquor store in St. Stephen officially opened today.
The store, located in the Charlotte Mall at 210 King St., showcases the new retail merchandising concept that creates interior destinations. This approach provides a customer-friendly shopping experience and better uses of retail floor space.
"NB Liquor is pleased to provide the residents of St. Stephen and area with a new and modern store - one that is more than double the size of the former location," said Dana Clendenning, president and chief executive officer, NB Liquor. "The larger size and new layout is designed to improve the product display area, and there are now 200 more wine brands and 100 more spirit brands available for customers."
The store is more than 58 per cent larger 877 sq. m (9,441 sq. ft.) than the former location and features more than 20 per cent more products, including 688 brands of wine and 480 brands of spirits. The 214-sq.-m (2,300-sq.-ft.) walk-in cold room offers 160 brands of chilled beer and 89 brands of ready-to-drink beverages.
Other changes include new, low-maintenance flooring, product and local historical mood pictures, a 2.4-m (eight-ft.) My World of Beer main floor display, new racking in the cold room and split end aisle displays providing better display and shopping.
The store employs four full-time staff, two part-time and four casuals. It is open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday to Saturday, and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
