FREDERICTON (CNB) - New Brunswick Film will host members of the film, television and new media industry at the New Brunswick Film Industry Summit on Thursday, Nov. 13, at the Crowne Plaza Lord Beaverbrook Hotel in Fredericton.
"We are proud to support the third annual New Brunswick Film Industry Summit, which provides an opportunity for New Brunswickers involved in film, television, and interactive media to gather in one location to network, collaborate and learn from one another," said Business New Brunswick Minister Greg Byrne.
The summit will include one-on-one meetings, seminars and networking opportunities, and will end with an event officially opening the New Brunswick Filmmaker's Co-operative's Silver Wave Film Festival.
The summit allows producers, crew, animators, and industry support-service providers to create new partnerships, learn new industry trends, meet national broadcasters, pitch their projects to broadcasters and producers, and learn from distinguished industry experts.
Keynote speakers sharing their perspectives on the industry will include Paul Gratton, chair of the board of the Canadian Television Fund; Paul LeBlanc, New Brunswick's Academy Award-winning hair stylist; and Michael Sparaga, writer, producer and director of Maple Flavour Films, a film about the Canadian film industry and the 2006 award-winning film, Sidekick.
"We have invited an exceptional group of keynote speakers to the summit who will touch on very different aspects of the industry," Byrne said. "We are also making time for participants to have one-on-one discussions with these guest speakers and our workshop presenters."
Registration for the summit is now open. For more information and to register, contact New Brunswick Film by telephone at 506-869-6868, or by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
