Companies receive Innovation Recognition Awards (09/10/20)

BATHURST (CNB) - Fifteen New Brunswick companies were honoured last night for
creating and adopting innovative practices in the workplace. Premier Shawn Graham
and Business New Brunswick Minister Victor Boudreau were in Bathurst to announce
the 2009 Innovation Recognition Award recipients.
"Successful and innovative businesses are key to achieving our goal of self-sufficiency," said Graham. "These New Brunswick companies are some of the best examples of the
26,000 small businesses creating opportunities that our province needs today to succeed tomorrow."
The recipients were nominated by their local community economic development agency. The recognition takes place every year at the beginning of Small Business Week. The 2009
winners are:
- Canadian Organic Maple Co. Ltd., Bath, nominated by Enterprise Carleton;
- Tire Recycling Atlantic Canada Corp. (TRACC), Minto, nominated by Enterprise Central;
- IC Agency Canada Inc., Bathurst, nominated by Enterprise Chaleur;
- Sticks and Stones Fabricating Inc., St. Stephen, nominated by Enterprise Charlotte;
- Atlantic Nuclear Services Ltd., Fredericton, nominated by Enterprise Fredericton;
- Energy Systems and Design Ltd., Sussex, nominated by Enterprise Fundy;
- Confection 4e Dimension ltée, Saint-Léonard, nominated by Enterprise Grand Falls;
- Spongy Wonder Inc., Riverview, nominated by Enterprise Moncton;
- La Bergerie Aux 4 Vents ltée, Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, nominated by Enterprise Kent;
- Prima Innovations Inc. (Navigloo), Saint-Jacques, nominated by Enterprise Madawaska;
- ShadComm Ltd., Miramichi, nominated by Enterprise Miramichi;
- Maison Beausoleil Inc., Neguac, nominated by Enterprise Peninsule;
- A. Landry Fabrication ltée, Balmoral, nominated by Enterprise Restigouche;
- Advanced Publishing Corp., Saint John, nominated by Enterprise Saint John; and
- Verger Belliveau Orchard Ltd., Memramcook, nominated by Enterprise South-East.
"New Brunswick is home to many dynamic and motivated companies," said Boudreau. "Although these recipients come from different industries, they recognize the importance of
constantly growing and adopting new innovative practices. I congratulate these award winners and all of the successful businesses that continue to be innovative in our province."
