CARAQUET (CNB) - The provincial government is helping to maintain 11 jobs and create five more through a $40,306 NB Growth Fund investment at Haché Services Techniques ltée.
Wellness, Culture and Sport Minister Hédard Albert made the announcement today at the company's Caraquet facility along with company president Armand Haché.
"Our government is proud to support a homegrown New Brunswick company that is working hard to expand its business right here in the Acadian Peninsula," said Albert. "This company has had a successful history in Caraquet, and we whole-heartedly support its plans to continue growing. The growth of companies like these helps our province move towards self-sufficiency."
Albert spoke on behalf of Business New Brunswick Minister Victor Boudreau.
Business New Brunswick launched the $3-million program in October 2007 to support company start-ups and expansions throughout the province. It provides eligible entrepreneurs up to $100,000 to establish a new business, and up to $60,000 to expand, diversify, or improve productivity at an existing business.
"Haché Services Techniques ltée is truly grateful for this vote of confidence from the provincial government," said Haché. "Our company needs employees with skills in technology to create customized steel detailing and drawings for our clients, and this funding will allow us to hire additional staff, as well as purchase new equipment, to continue meeting the demand for our specialized services."
