FREDERICTON (CNB) - Grant Sinclair has been appointed chef de mission for Team NB for the 2005 Canada Summer Games, Luc Bujold, will be assistant chef de mission, and Allen Bard will be chef de mission for Team NB for the 2005 Jeux de la Francophonie. The appointments were annoucned today bv Intergovernmental and International Relations Minister Percy Mockler, Minister responsible for the Culture and Sport Secretariat.
Sinclair, Bujold and Bard, are staff members and consultants with the Sport, Recreation and Active Living branch of the Culture and Sport Secretariat, and will be responsible for preparing the New Brunswick delegation for the upcoming 2005 Canada Summer Games to be held in Regina, Saskatchewan, and the 2005 Jeux de la Francophonie in Niamey, Niger in Africa.

"The expertise of Mr. Sinclair, Mr. Bujold and Mr. Bard will help Team NB to build competitive teams for the 2005 Canada Games and for the 2005 Jeux de la Francophonie," Mockler said. "In partnership with our provincial organizations, these individuals will help ensure New Brunswick's athletes and artists achieve best ever performances while at these games."
Grant Sinclair was assistant chef de mission of the 2003 Canada Winter Games in Bathurst-Campbellton and at the 2001 Canada Summer Games in London, Ontario. Sinclair also served as a member of Mission staff for the 2002 North American Indigenous Games. Sinclair worked as director of the Municipal Parks and Recreation Service in St. Stephen for 10 years before joining the Culture and Sport Secretariat.
Luc Bujold has experience as a mission staff member of Team NB for the 1997, 2001 and 2003 Canada Games. Bujold worked as assistant director of the City of Dieppe Leisure and Community Services for over10 years before joining the secretariat. He was president of Velo New Brunswick from 1992 to 1995 and is currently a member of the events committee of the Canadian Cycling Association.
Bard was chef de mission of the 2003 Canada Winter Games in Bathurst-Campbellton and the 2001 Canada Summer Games in London, Ontario. Bard has experience as a Team NB mission staff member of the 1997 and 1999 Canada Games. He was also manager of the cross-country ski team that participated in the 1995 Winter Games, and he has competed as an athlete in many competitions at the provincial, national and international levels.
