FREDERICTON (CNB) - Two new members have joined the Commission on Post-Secondary Education's advisory panel.

Denis Losier, CEO of Assumption Life in Moncton and Gerry Pond, Chairman and CEO of Marine Partners Inc. in Saint John, complete the advisory panel now formed of eight members.

"We are glad to count those two additional members on our advisory panel," commissioner Jacques L'Écuyer said. "The broad diversity of our panel members provides a range of views that we can rely on to make the best recommendations for the future of the post-secondary education system in the province."

"With their extensive experience in the business sector, Mr. Losier and Mr. Pond reinforce that aspect of the panel," commissioner Rick Miner said. "They also add to the representation from the two largest urban centres in the province."

The Commission on Post-Secondary Education in New Brunswick is mandated to look into all aspects of post-secondary education. It is an ideal forum to discuss ways to meet the challenges in this sector.
