SAINT JOHN (CNB) - New Brunswick municipalities will learn how to make their communities more energy efficient and save on energy costs at upcoming one-day workshops being presented jointly by Efficiency NB, NB Power, and Natural Resources Canada.
The Spot the Energy Savings Opportunities for Municipalities workshop will be offered in English in Fredericton on Dec. 10, and in Saint John on Feb. 26, 2009. Sessions in French will be in Grand Anse on Jan. 29, 2009, and in Bouctouche on March 26, 2009. The workshop was developed by Natural Resources Canada, and is one of a series of its Dollars to $ense energy management workshops.
Participants will learn how to better assess energy use and determine options for energy savings. Discussion will focus on assessing the energy efficiency of municipal facilities, maximizing energy efficiency in all municipal operations, and identifying opportunities for decreasing energy use, energy costs, and setting priorities.
