Environment Minister Roland Haché said the ETF is intended to help New Brunswickers practise environmental stewardship and promote environmental sustainability.
"The ETF supports New Brunswick-based initiatives that restore, protect and improve our air, land and water resources," Haché said.
Several priorities for ETF funding for the upcoming fiscal year have been identified, including:
"By being more strategic in linking project funding with government and departmental goals and priorities for self-sufficiency, we are in a better position to ensure that New Brunswick will be an environmentally sustainable province by 2026," Haché said.
The ETF provides assistance to community groups, organizations, municipalities and business-improvement areas for projects that produce tangible, measurable benefits to the environment.
