MONCTON (CNB) - The Town of Sackville has been charged in Moncton provincial court with a violation of the Water Quality Regulation - Clean Environment Act.
The Department of Environment alleges that on April 25, 2007, the town failed to comply with a term or condition of the approval to operate the drinking water distribution and treatment facilities.
Representatives for the town are scheduled to make their first appearance in Moncton provincial court on Dec. 16 at 9:30 a.m.
Environment Minister Roland Haché encourages all New Brunswickers to be responsible stewards of the environment, and to report any infraction of environmental regulations in the province.
