Pointe-du-Chêne resident charged with violating Clean Water Act (09/03/02)

FREDERICTON (CNB) - A Pointe-du-Chêne-area resident has been charged in Moncton Provincial Court with a violation of the Clean Water Act.

The Department of Environment alleges that between Oct. 1, 2006, and Sept. 18, 2007, Marc Demers of 31 Sunset Blvd., Pointe-du-Chêne, undertook a watercourse alteration without a permit from the department. Demers is scheduled to make his first appearance in court on Tuesday, March 3, at 9:30 a.m.

Environment Minister Roland Haché encourages all New Brunswickers to be responsible stewards of the environment and to report any infraction of environmental regulations in the province.
