Sussex resident charged with violating Clean Environment Act (10/02/11)

SUSSEX (CNB) - A Sussex resident will make his first appearance in provincial court on Feb. 18 in relation to a charge that he violated the Clean Environment Act.

The Department of Environment alleges that, on Feb. 16, 2009, Timothy Bastian of 120 Court St., released a contaminant, or class of contaminant, into the environment without authority or permission.

Environment Minister Rick Miles encourages all New Brunswickers to be responsible stewards of the environment and to report any infraction of environmental regulations.
