Firm charged with violating Clean Environment Act (10/03/09)

CARAQUET (CNB) - A Caraquet waste-hauling company will make its first appearance in provincial court on Tuesday, March 16, in relation to a charge under the Clean Environment Act.

The Department of Environment alleges that between Aug. 16 and Sept. 2, 2009, Service Sanitaire Nabla ltée of 32 Industriel Blvd., Caraquet, released a contaminant that could affect the quality or constitution of the environment.

Environment Minister Rick Miles encourages all New Brunswickers to be responsible stewards of the environment and to report any infraction of environmental regulations.
