MONCTON (CNB) - The Village of Alma has been charged in Moncton provincial court with violating the Water Quality Regulation of the Clean Environment Act. The village is scheduled to make its first appearance in court on May 27.
The Department of Environment alleges that on Nov. 25, 2009, the village failed to comply with a term or condition of its approval to operate drinking water distribution and treatment facilities.
Environment Minister Rick Miles encourages all New Brunswickers to be responsible stewards of the environment and to report any infraction of environmental regulations.
