SAINT-QUENTIN (CNB) - A Kedgwick area construction company has been charged in Saint-Quentin provincial court with a violation of the Clean Environment Act.

The Department of Environment alleges that between Nov. 1, 2008, and Dec. 14, 2009, Gilles Bossé Construction ltée, operating as Sani-Boss of 28 Jeanne D'Arc St., Kedgwick, released a contaminant into the environment at or near Whites Brook.

The company is scheduled to make its first appearance in court on July 8.

Environment Minister Rick Miles encourages all New Brunswickers to be responsible stewards of the environment and to report any infraction of environmental regulations.
