FREDERICTON (CNB) - Government has announced that l'Association acadienne et francophone des aînées et des aînés will participate in Be Independent Longer, government's long-term-care strategy.
"I am pleased to make this announcement that will help improve the quality of life for seniors," said Brian Kenny, minister of state for seniors and minister responsible for the community non-profit organizations secretariat. "Health and wellness for seniors, and their desire to live independently, are essential components of our long-term-care strategy."
l'Association acadienne et francophone des aînées et des aînés joins the Canadian Red Cross Society and Go Ahead Seniors Inc. in collaboration with government to increase seniors' services across the province.
Meetings to elaborate upon the details of this collaborative process will be held in the near future.
