FREDERICTON (CNB) - The recommendations of the Child Death Review Committee, which reviewed the death of a child whose family was known to Child Protection Services, have been released by Social Development Minister Kelly Lamrock.
The committee investigates the deaths of children younger than 19, who were in the legal care of the minister, or whose families were in contact with the child protection system within 12 months before the child's death.
"I'd like to thank the committee for reviewing this case and providing recommendations that will improve the protection of children," said Lamrock. "A response from the department will be released within the 45-day time limit."
The committee made two recommendations:
