MONCTON (CNB) - Ministers responsible for social services in Atlantic Canada - including Social Development Minister Kelly Lamrock - will meet in Moncton on Wednesday, June 2.
"I am looking forward to the opportunity to discuss with New Brunswick's neighbours issues of shared interest and concern," said Lamrock. "This is meeting will lay the groundwork for even greater knowledge exchange and collaboration across the region on the development and delivery of social services."
Topics to be discussed will include:
Social and Enterprise Development Innovation will deliver a presentation about financial literacy, while the Child Welfare League of Canada will make a presentation about its activities in the Atlantic region.
"Our four provinces share a commitment to providing our most vulnerable residents with the services they need, when and where they need them," said Lamrock. "These meetings provide us with the opportunity to learn about the experience of other jurisdictions and how their best practices might be applied here in New Brunswick."
