FREDERICTON (CNB) - Public consultations on the development of a mental health strategy for the province will begin Wednesday, Nov. 12, and continue until Wednesday, Nov. 26. Judge Michael McKee, chair of a task force developing a proposal for a mental health strategy, made the announcement today.
"These consultation will allow all New Brunswickers to be involved in shaping a mental health strategy for New Brunswick," said McKee.
In May, Health Minister Michael Murphy named McKee to chair a task force to review mental health services and make recommendations. The development of a mental health strategy is a key initiative in the Provincial Health Plan, 2008-12.
Anyone wishing to meet with McKee and task force members may indicate their planned attendance by calling 506-453-8813 or by registering online at email@example.com. Registration is appreciated but not required.
