PRINCE WILLIAM (CNB) - Former employees, volunteers, visiting cousins and family kin are invited to an alumni weekend at Kings Landing Historical Settlement from Friday, Aug. 6, to Sunday, Aug. 8.
It is estimated that more than 1,000 people have volunteered at the settlement, more than 3,000 have worked at the site, and more than 5,000 children have participated in its summer camps over the past 40 years. Kings Landing has greeted more than 3.1 million visitors during this period.
On Friday, Aug 6, alumni and their spouses will be invited to a gala dinner at the King's Head Inn.
A luncheon will be held on Saturday, Aug. 7, so that alumni may meet some of the past chief executive officers of Kings Landing. Behind-the-scene tours will be offered in the afternoon.
In the evening, current staff, alumni and their spouses and special guests are invited to attend a cocktail followed by an alumni gala performance and awards presentation. The performance will take place at the Centre communautaire Sainte-Anne in Fredericton.
Sunday Aug. 8, will be a day to gather for a multi-denominational service at the Riverside Presbyterian Church on the site. Alumni will have the opportunity to share their best memories at a brunch at the King's Head Inn.
