CAMPBELLTON (CNB) - Members of the non-profit sector and groups in the Restigouche region are reminded to attend the regional conference being held in Campbellton on Saturday, Jan. 17, at the Campbellton Civic Centre. Minister of State for Seniors Brian Kenny, who is also minister responsible for the community non-profit organizations secretariat, will take part.
"After such a positive experience at the northwestern conference, I am looking forward to meeting and exchanging ideas with the hardworking members of the Restigouche region's non-profit sector," said Kenny. "These conferences are such a great chance to discuss issues and share insights and ideas. Being able to make a direct connection with our non-profit sector makes it easier to improve our communities, and work toward our goal of self-sufficiency."
The conference will discuss the Delivering on the Blueprint document, creating partnerships between the non-profit sector and government, and sharing updates on the progress of the secretariat.
This conference is the fifth in a series of seven being held throughout the province. The sixth conference will take place Feb. 21, in the Central region. A full list of conferences is available online.
Registration is available on the secretariat's website, or by telephoning 1-888-295-4545.
