FREDERICTON (CNB) - William McCormack was the first name drawn in the 2009 Regular Crown Reserve Water Draw. McCormack and his party were successfully drawn for June 20 on the Crooked Rapids stretch of the Upsalquitch River.
The Regular Crown Reserve Water Draw provides New Brunswickers with opportunities to fish for Atlantic salmon on selected stretches of the Miramichi, Restigouche and Patapedia rivers for specific days during the fishing season.
The Department of Natural Resources received 2,059 party applications, and 651 were drawn. Successful party chiefs will be notified by mail, and anglers must buy their Crown reserve angling licences by 4:30 p.m., Friday, April 24.
